Breville BJE510XL: Best Value Centrifugal Juicer?
I’ll be honest with you, I think this is the best juicer Breville make. It’s has more features than the basic Breville BJE200XL and it’s cheaper than the stainless steel Breville 800JEXL. This juicer is more “plastic-y” but it’s also got quite a futuristic feel to it vs. the classic styling of the Juice Fountain Elite.
All the Breville centrifugal juicers have got loads of the same design qualities. What sets the BJE510XL apart is that it’s the latest design out of the three. Unlike the budget model, which has one fixed speed, or the classic Juice Fountain Elite, which has two – the Breville BJE510XL has FIVE variable speeds. This serves up the most control over the juicing process of any centrifugal juicer on the market.
This model always ranks highly on the Amazon list of top 10 juicers sold today. I like that it offers the best functionality and it’s also at the cheaper end of the spectrum.
Juicing with the Breville BJE510XL
The variable speeds of this juicer mean that it can extract liquid from all kinds of fruits and vegetables, soft or hard. For juicing apples, beets, carrots, cucumbers, celery, melons, pears, peeled oranges and so on, this juicer will do really well for you.
A limitation of ALL centrifugal juicers though is that the amount of liquid they can get out of leafy green vegetables is much lower than masticating juicers. This is not a failure of this particular model, it’s something shared by all centrifugal machines.
This machine would make a great juicer if you want to make juices quickly. If you’re not too concerned about making so called green juices then in my eyes, this model starts to look even more attractive!
