Omega VRT350HD Review
Best juicers don’t often come cheap and the Omega VRT350HD is no exception. This bad boy is gonna set you back more than $300. Is it worth it? If you love your juice, then the answer is a resounding yes!
Omega make tons of different models including centrifugal and horizontal masticating machines. But today we’re lookin’ at their newest style of machine, their vertical masticating juicer!
I count this machine as the best juicer I own. Check out the points that make this bad boy the top dog!
- Slow speed juicer (that makes juice quickly – strange but true)
- Top quality juice in terms of taste AND nutrition
- Takes a long time before juice starts to separate – a sign of quality
- Self feeding – hardly any need to use the pusher
- Much quieter than high speed centrifugal juicers

Juicers like this one including the Hurom Slow Juicer and Kuvings Silent Juicer as well as horizontal masticating juicers run at low speed. This is good coz a lower speed means that there will be less oxidation of the juice that it makes. Oxidation is when oxygen comes into contact with the enzymes in the juice. Masticating juicers don’t bust open so many cell walls as centrifugal juicers. Slower juicers like this one work more by pressing and crushing the juice out of the fruit and vegetables you’re using. Bottom line, it gives a top quality juice in terms of both taste and nutritional benefit. And let’s face it, we’re drinking juice coz it’s good for us!
Check the video below to get a visual demo of what self feeding is all about. As you’ll see, the dude in the film doesn’t even use the pusher. The hole is wide enough that gravity, combined with the big old auger in this vertical masticating juicer are all that’s required.
One of the craziest things about the Omega VRT350HD is that it comes with a 10 year warranty on all parts! That doesn’t mean you can just drop your juicer on the floor and expect Omega to replace it! Nah, the warranty is for manufacturer defects. So if a part breaks under normal use, that’s the sort of thing they’ll replace. But if you smash your juicer by being an idiot, well, that’s your own fault!
So why should you get this juicer rather than the Hurom or the Kuvings? For a start, the Omega is the most expensive of the lot! Pretty simple really, it’s got a 10 year warranty while the Hurom just has 1 year on the parts. Other than that, they are the exact same juicer coz they actually come from the same factory! When we compare the Omega with the Kuvings, it’s the Omega that seems more robust when it comes to self feeding. The Kuvings is a cool machine but with this one, you’d have to push stuff down with the pusher a bit more often. Not a big deal, but something you should bear in mind.
If you wanna check out the manufacturer’s page where you can get a full product spec at Omegajuicers.com. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that they’re gonna be offering the cheapest online price tho. Coz of their huge buying power, Amazon might be able to give you a better deal. Sniff out a bargain and get juicin’.
