Far... Too... Busy...

27 10 09 - 21:34 Can't think... what's the word?

Over to my 10:00, which only took a half hour, he just had some questions. Took me longer to drive there and back then to actually do the work. Came back here, worked on getting mail to open on this Vista laptop I worked on to all hours of the night last night. Well, it opened, it just wouldn't actually let you read, or create, any mail. Kind of important for a mail program, don't you think? I ran system update, I tried the one or two things I found about the problem online, nothing.

In desperation I tried installing thunderbird, then realized there was no easy way to move the account info over. AARG! But I did manage to get the settings over (manually) and moved the mail into it with a plugin. Just finished that up at 12:30, went to see the lady down the street who had no problems at all, of course.

Got to my 1:00. An ME system, haven't seen one of those in awhile, let me tell you. Let's see, Win2k->XP->Vista->7. He's only four generations behind. Maybe he'll get a Mac, and the sooner the better.

Over to the dental place to pick up the new laptop he bought.

Then to a 4:30 that took me way too long. Simple printer hook up, right? No. For a start there were two laptops, one of which worked right away. The other one was running both AVG and McAfee, the slowest two programs ever. AVG wouldn't uninstall. The printer wouldn't connect. Finally got AVG out. Reloaded the printer software and that made the difference. Sigh.

So I got home at 6:30, just in time to eat some dinner. Which I then did. 6 calls today. So I've got 4 for tomorrow, plus dropping the laptop back at the dental place. Got it done while making calls/after making calls, right at 8:45 or so, meaning it was only a twelve hour day for me.

And it's ONLY TUESDAY.

I have been a bit sleepy all day, so tonight I retire early, to rise again to face the challenges of a new.... *snoring*
