The best laid plains
20 07 09 - 21:58 of mice and men. So given that I had to go grocery shopping, to staples, the library, CVS, (gotta get my free chocolate) and to the bird store I figured that it wouldn't all happen in an hour. (My first appointment at 11:00) so I hung out here and did a couple of things before leaving. Got my 11:00 done, basically showing someone a bunch of stuff I had already shown them, thanks for paying so close attention, and swung by my parent's place. Then to the bird store on the way home. Ate lunch and got the rest of the stuff done. And then never got to working on story editor. Sigh.On another note, I got seven calls today. Seven. Calls. The past three days I got one. Then today, seven. Where were you all these people two days ago? Or Friday? Of course this is a problem because I have a 5:30 in Victor which is a half hour away. So I leave at 5:00 and get there right on time. It's just a clean out, and her ethernet port was busted so I put in a PCI card to get rid of the awful USB connection she was using instead. But by the time I leave it's 7:00. I get home at 7:30. Check my messages, feed the cats, it's now 7:45. Notice no mention of dinner yet. I finally get all my calls done, just at 9:00 so I can finally eat something.
Why is it when I have all the time in the world to answer calls, I never have any? And when I would like just a few, because I know I'm going to be late getting home, I have tons? It happens too often to be coincidence. I mean, three days = 1, then one day = 7? That's just not right. And I didn't even get back to everyone.
So I have four tomorrow now. One at 9:00, yuck. Traffic is often still bad then, that's why I usually wait until 9:30. That extra time clears everyone out and I have less travel time. Getting up later has nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.
But on the bright side I... um... well, gee, there must be something. I'll keep thinking about it, it'll come to me.
