More running
22 07 09 - 22:08 But not as much as there's going to be tomorrow. So back to the dentist I work for because his syncing stuff wasn't working. Or so he thought. He's trying to sync between his palm, outlook and yahoo, because the person who set up his mail was too dumb to set up an exchange server so he could log in from anywhere. And I'm certainly not going to attempt it, because I'm smarter then that. So he's got entries all over the place, and he didn't think some were updating but he was just looking at the wrong one.Went over to the Mortgage place next. Some email problem. Basically there was this one email, every time it checked the mail it downloaded a whole bunch of mail, then hit this one message. Outlook would totally choke on it and throw an error message. Then start trying to downloaded them all again, choke in the same spot, lather, rinse, repeat. Love it when a program designed to do a certain thing can be stupid enough to do that thing, over and over, that it keeps failing at. Of course we didn't have any passwords but we managed to guess it, and I got on the webmail interface and erased it.
Then a good old cleanout in spencerport I just made it to. That's a little more then a half hour each way, by the way. Then back down the street from my house to give the laptop guy his external DVD. I wrote about that, right? His optical drive didn't read CDs anymore, and the only place I found a replacement was for $250?
Then home for a bit. Picked more berries for a half hour and got another 2/3 tub full. By then I had to eat dinner as I had a 6:00 to get to in Victor, another 35 minute journey. Luckily most of the traffic was going the other way, so I got to whip past it. Basically another clean out, he had all kinds of junk on that machine. Smily programs, toolbar this and toolbar that. People just don't realize downloading random crap into your PC is basically a bad idea. But they pay for it. Oh yes.
Then back at 7:30 to make calls. Got a comic mostly colored while talking to a great, great customer, Leslie. Never been on the phone with her for less then half an hour. Thus, I always call her last. Got the rest done and started another video digitizing.
It's going to be a similar story tomorrow. Lots of the running around I love so very, very much.
