Hot Hot Hot!

17 08 09 - 22:23 Summer! Glad you could join us!

Yeah, yeah, sorry about that. You wouldn't believe airport security nowadays. I mean, really.
I know, I know. Better late then never, right?
You're right!
And there's still, what, five whole weeks until fall.
Look, I said I was sorry.

So it looks to be another whirlwind week. I'm still two comics behind, though they are penciled. I know, I'm a slacker, playing Oblivion. But I do have real work to do too, you know.

One machine I brought home thinking it was a bad hard drive, ordered the drive, installed the drive, still had problems, turned out to be a faulty RAM chip. Still had to reload windows, it was too far gone.

So I was able to use the hard drive in another machine that really did have a dead hard drive (wouldn't work at all). Managed to snag a copy of Vista via bittorent so I didn't have to a) wait for Lenovo to ship me a disk and b) have one for doing this same thing later like I do with XP. Knew there would come a time I would start needing to reload Vista machines. Looks like it's started. Honestly, why can manufacturers just include a real Vista disk with their systems? Haven't we learned "recovery partitions" are not the way to go? This disk I made still needs a serial number, and that annoying phone crap "punch in this eleventy billion digit number and I'll read you back a sixty eleventy billion digit number you can punch in because it's so fun. Yeah. So it's legal and everything, but I don't think MS would like the fact I torrented it. Too freaking bad, Microsoft, don't make crap that needs reloading all the time and we'll talk!

Then cleaned out another system here (yes, that's three for those keeping track at home) and got that done just a little while ago. That in addition to the regular appointments I went to today. More of the same, blah blah.

Then some guy dropped off a laptop, so tomorrow I get even more stay at home fun! Bonus!

Went to Sean's on Friday after having pizza with my grandmother. Worked out exactly right, as normally we start at 6:00 and I leave at 4:30, get to chili around 5:00 and have a subway sandwich until 5:30, making me not too early. But he wanted to start later that night so I actually left her place exactly when I needed to and arrived on time. We did the World Hopping game I was looking forward to, but poor planing on my part (yes, I admit it) made it work out a bit wrong, whoops, so I didn't get to show off quite as much as I had hoped. Boo!

Saturday I got the three machines set up and moved over for the account. Took most of the day, though the third machine was way easier then the first, as by that time I knew exactly what I was doing. Hopefully the check for that one is in the mail, $120!!! Nicey Nice!

Three at least for tomorrow, plus getting the one system back and calling the other person to pick her system up. The third I'll take back later. Then work on the laptop, hopefully get some comic work done.

It never rains but it pours, and it might rain tomorrow.
