I has got phone service back

25 08 09 - 21:48 And the calls poured in.

Like 9. But again, I only booked tomorrow (5 jobs), thursday is still wide open.

I must admit to great service on the part of frontier. Called them last night (well, my mother called them) around 8:00pm and the frontier truck was out by the pole when I left at 9:30 this morning. When I got home at 11:30, service get! And my earliest call was 10:52, and it was all static so he must still have been working on it. But it's perfect now. Thanks frontier. Of course, I'm contracted with them until march, 2010 but who do I see on my caller ID? Frontier. So I think, "oh, they must be making sure my service is back. How nice of them." No. Some jerk lady wants to talk to me about long distance. HellO? I'm already contracted with you for another SEVEN MONTHS. Don't you think, with all the computer power we have available now, that a program could be created to LOOK at the long distance minutes someone is using? I called victor, last month, twice. For a total of 9 minutes worth of long distance. Don't really think I'm a candidate for asking about wanting to switch my services around. Dummies.

Anyway, did my two in the morning, one of which was something popping up IE windows with ads in it. I had, last week, gone over his machine and found nothing, but didn't see any IE pop ups like that. So I scour his machine, even going so far as to pop the HD onto my Mac and look at file creation dates. No luck. So I bring it home, and spend an hour looking for a place to download Windows Media Center Edition OEM version 2005 so I can reload his machine. No dice. You know what we need? More versions of windows. I'm glad windows 7 has like eighteen versions, I wouldn't want to get bored.

While looking I had plugged it into my Mac again and was running clamXav on it. It found nothing. Great, thanks guys.

So I'm about to reload it with XP home, because I have a couple of serial numbers from machines I've junked, and there's this weird 5GB partition that didn't show up when I plugged it into the Mac. So I do a search on this model and find the hidden keystrokes to use when booting to get into the recovery partition. Honestly dell, make it hard to find. And be sure it's like 6 keys so I don't press it accidently. Oh, that's what you did? Nice job!

So finally got it back up and running. I HATE PCS. I do. Love the new apple commercials though, they are so true. "When you're ready to compromise, call me." Yeah PC, I'll do that.

Got three comics texted, maybe I'll get the rest done now, though I did want to finally try out Last Remnant. Sigh.

Quite a bit of running around to do tomorrow. But I'm all ready for it, lunch is made, I know where I'm going.

Current Catchphrase: I kill you!
