The heck was I worried about?

29 09 09 - 21:56 Today could have gone very, very badly.

Just in terms of how many places I had to go. But for a change, everything went pretty smooth. Even got to rearrange some things so I did less running around.

Went to see the guy I set the new machine up for a few days ago. Just a couple of quick questions, nothing major, he's pretty happy.

With time to spare I went to see the lawyer I work for, but her machine was fine. Oh well.

Then over to see Les. Very odd problem there, when he clicked a link in thunderbird and firefox wasn't running, firefox would crash immediately. But if firefox WAS running it would try to load the page, but every / would have turned into a \. Searched around a bit, one person said they had success after updating IE, so I did (as he was still running IE6 *shudder*). That solved the /\ problem but not the crashing thing. So he just said he would be sure to have it open. Which is fine. But why was the IE version messing it up, when it was two mozilla products and no microsoft stuff? Also put in a DVD drive for him, as he was trying to read DVDs with a CD drive. Not going to happen.

Still running ahead, sweet! Over to the hotel, not only replaced a power supply, but sold them a monitor too. Had to go home to get that, of course, but I had the time. With the money they owed me from last week when I changed that optical drive I walked out with a check for over $200. Of course, most of that was just the parts I bought, not actual profit, but still. Went home again.

Started inking the comic I did in fact get drawn last night, got it almost done. Out again. She said she had looked in her documents folder and all the pictures, and word docs and things had disappeared, but they were sure there when I looked. Cleaned it out, got rid of things dragging the system down.

Came home, ate dinner. Started my daily letter to my facebook friend, we're still writing each other. Then out again for my 7:00. When they bought a new wireless router for greater range they never disabled the built in DSL one, so they had two competing signals right next to each other. Turned one off, got the nasty PIII laptop the kid got for free at least running and connected. Anti-virused up, etc. Back at eight-ish. Only three calls today, so I booked all of tomorrow, hope it goes as well as it did today.

Current Lyrics: Come Back To Me
(never heard that song before today. Is it new?)
